Cloak — The password manager that can't betray you.
Developer: Cloakencrypt · Category: Privacy · Last updated: April 2026
Cloak is an encrypted credential storage app running entirely on the Internet Computer with no traditional server. It uses VetKeys (threshold key derivation) so your encryption key is derived on-demand by the network and delivered encrypted to your device. Only your passkey can unlock your passwords, cards, and secrets, with features including Watchtower monitoring, secure sharing via temporary encrypted links, and import from 1Password, Bitwarden, LastPass, and browser keychains.

Frequently asked questions
- How is Cloak's encryption different from other password managers?
- Cloak uses VetKeys (threshold cryptography on the Internet Computer) — your encryption key is derived by the network on-demand. The developer cannot decrypt your vault even if compelled.
- Can I import from 1Password, LastPass, or Bitwarden?
- Yes. Direct import from 1Password (.1pif / CSV), LastPass (CSV), Bitwarden (JSON), and most browser keychains.
- What happens if I lose my passkey?
- Register multiple passkeys at signup (phone + laptop + hardware key). Any one can recover access. If you lose all, the vault is unrecoverable by design — same as losing every key to a safe.
